Around 35 of us set off for Exmouth on the Halesowen Rambler walking group holiday on Saturday, the 18th of October.
The Cavendish hotel, where we were staying was on the seafront.
The evening was spent familiarising ourselves with the town, the hotel and renewing acquaintances with fellow members.
The main walk on the Sunday was from North Babbacombe to Teignmouth.
The terrain was rather undulating with great views but by the time we arrived at the ferry most were pleased to see the boat arrive, ferrying us across on time for our coach pick up.
On the Monday to alternative walks, were offered by Patrick and Alan, starting and finishing at the hotel in Exmouth.
On Tuesday, we again use the couch to travel to Sidmouth for a tram way experience from Seaton to Colyton. The open top tram was a breezy experience, but interesting and enjoyable as was the hot coffee and chocolate afterwards. The coach then travelled on to see the gardens and Jacobs ladder.
Wendy lead a walk to Budleigh Salterton as an alternative for the more adventurous walkers.
Some of the more adventurous members, all ladies I might hasten to add (guys were to wimpy), went for a swim in the sea, a bracing experience I’m sure, and unfortunately no photographs.
